Luke 12:31 “But seek the reign of Elohim, and all these shall be added to you.
Luke 12:32 “Do not fear, little flock, because your Father did delight to give you the reign.
Luke 12:33 “Sell your possessions and give in kindness. Make yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief does come near nor moth destroys.
Luke 12:34 “For where your treasure is, there your heart shall be also.
I would like to pose a question. If one seeks the reign of Elohim, and knows that the Father has delighted to give such the reign; what kingly priesthood would they be under?
Let us find out:
· Yahusha was born King;
· He was from the tribe of Judah;
· He was born under the Book of the Law and fulfilled its requirements;
· He was mikvah’d [baptized] by John the Immerser, the true and best qualified high priest under the waning Aaronic Levitical Priesthood. John the Immerser was relegated to the wilderness due to corruption in the temple. This mikvah was to fulfill the priestly transference protocol under the Book of the Law. This is why the [lesser], John the Immerser, took pause when Yahusha, the [greater] came to him to be immersed. This is also why, Yahusha told John to permit it:
Mat 3:15 But יהושע answering, said to him, “Permit it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fill all righteousness.” Then he permitted Him.
Mat 3:16 And having been immersed, יהושע went up immediately from the water, and see, the heavens were opened, and He saw the Spirit of Elohim descending like a dove and coming upon Him,
Mat 3:17 and see, a voice out of the heavens, saying, “This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delight.”
· Why was this mikvah so essential? Because Yahusha was ushering the Melchizedek Priesthood back to its reigning position. The priesthood was being transferred from the waning Aaronic Levitical priesthood back to the Melchizedek priestly reign.
· With the change of priesthoods come a change in the Law [Heb. 7:12]. He gave us a new Melchizedek Marriage Covenant ratified and sealed by His own precious blood. Accepting this new covenant moves us back to Covenant Royal Torah and lifts us out from under the harsh schoolmaster of the Book of the Law. The Book of the Law served as a tutor after the sin of the golden calf UNTIL Yahusha would come. None of His Word is done away with, there is only a change in applicable law due to the reigning priesthood.
· His sacrifice cleanses us from all unrighteousness. He ascended to the heavenly altar to make atonement once and for all through His death, burial, and resurrection;
· At that time, Caiaphas, the ‘acting’ high priest with governmental Roman pleasing connections, disqualified himself by tearing his priestly garment [Lev. 10:6] after declaring Yahusha spoke blasphemy. We must remember, at this point the Book of the Law was still in place! That is why it was so crucial that the soldiers did not tear Yahusha’s single woven priestly garment!
· Subsequently due to Caiaphas disqualifying himself, Yahusha would now serve as High Priest over His own sacrificial offering as the Lamb of Elohim thus completing the priestly transference.
· Yahusha became our High Priest after the order of Melchizedek. [Psalm 110:4]. Yahusha said, “It is finished!”, and took His seat at the right hand of the Father. He reigns forevermore!
· Not only that! He redeemed us, the land, and all creation:
Rev 5:9 And they sang a renewed song, saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slain, and have redeemed us to Elohim by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,c Footnote: cThis fact is given in 6 other texts in the Book of Revelation.
Rev 5:10 and made us sovereigns and priests to our Elohim, and we shall reign upon the earth.”d Footnote: d Dan_7:18-27.
The following Scripture states it so beautifully:
1Pe 2:1 Having put aside, then, all evil, and all deceit, and hypocrisies, and envyings, and all evil words,
1Pe 2:2 as newborn babes, desire the unadulterated milk of the Word, in order that you grow by it,
1Pe 2:3 if indeed you have tasted that the Master is good.
1Pe 2:4 Drawing near to Him, a living Stone – rejected indeed by men, but chosen by Elohim and precious –
1Pe 2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up, a spiritual house, a set-apart priesthood, to offer up spiritual slaughter offerings acceptable to Elohim through יהושע Messiah.
1Pe 2:6 Because it is contained in the Scripture, “See, I lay in Tsiyon a chief corner-stone, chosen, precious, and he who believes on Him shall by no means be put to shame.” Isa_28:16.
1Pe 2:7 This preciousness, then, is for you who believe; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner-stone,” Psa_118:22.
1Pe 2:8 and “A stone of stumbling and a rock that makes for falling,” Isa_8:14 who stumble because they are disobedienta to the Word, to which they also were appointed. Footnote: aSee Joh_3:36, Heb_3:18.
1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen race,b Deu_10:15 a royal priesthood,c Isa_61:6 a set-apart nation,d Exo_19:6 a people for a possession,e Isa_43:2 that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light, Footnotes: bAlso see Isa_43:20. cAlso see Isa_66:21. dAlso see Deu_7:6. eAlso see Exo_19:5, Tit_2:14.
1Pe 2:10 who once were not a people,f but now the people of Elohim;f who had not obtained compassion,f but now obtained compassion.f Hos_1:9-10, Hos_2:23. Footnote: fAlso see Isa_65:1, Hos_1:9, Isa_63:16, Isa_64:8, Rom_9:25-26.
1Pe 2:11 Beloved ones, I appeal to you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts which battle against the being,
1Pe 2:12 having your behaviour among the nations good so that when they speak against you as evil-doers, let them, by observing your good works,g esteem Elohim in a day of visitation. Footnote: g Mat_5:16.
Just look at the royal scarlet thread woven among the footnotes. What was concealed is now revealed forevermore! HalleluYAH!
Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Messiah – by favour you have been saved –
Eph 2:6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenlies in Messiah יהושע,
